The Vintage Hat Box accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, money orders, cashiers checks or personal checks for payment through our online shopping cart. Our shopping cart is provided by Shopping Cart Gurus ( www.shoppingcartgurus.com.) Our credit card orders are processed through Paypal's Website Payments Pro. You may place credit card orders online by adding the item to your shopping cart and following the checkout process. Credit card orders may also be faxed or mailed using our credit card processing form. If ordering via credit card by fax or mail, please be sure to include the card verification number as the order cannot be processed without it.

We also accept orders through our shopping cart that will be paid by money orders (USA only), cashiers checks or personal checks (USA only). You may also order by fax or mail using our order processing form. Items will be held for 7 days only to allow for the payment to be received. After that time, the order will be cancelled and all items will again be available for others to purchase. The Vintage Hat Box greatly appreciates your business and we strive to keep shipping & handling fees as low as possible. We charge a flat fee for shipping and handling based on the tables below. All items will be shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS). If you would prefer a different carrier - please contact us at sales@vintagehatbox.com for rates and availability.

Please note - Times quoted below do not include processing time. Most orders are processed within 48 hours of receipt. Handmade gift items such as hand painted hat boxes and hat stands will require additional processing time. Priority Mail service may not be available for hat boxes and hat stands at listed shipping charges. If you need your order by a specific date, please include that information in the comments section when you place your order. You may also phone, fax or email us with the request. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We will not mark merchandise values below actual purchase price or mark items as "gifts".

For customers in The United Kingdom - Please note our shopping cart will not accept UK as a valid country code, you must spell out United Kingdom.

For customers in Ireland - Please enter your county in the postal code field.

Green Initiative

If your package arrives looking like it's been around the block a few times, chances are it has. We frequently recycle packaging materials as long as the materials are still useable. They may not look so pretty but as long as they are functional, we will re-use them and encourage you to do the same. Any items we can keep out of the landfill brings us a step closer to a better environment for all.

Insurance

Cost of insurance is included in the shipping & handling rate. All orders will automatically be insured with the shipping provider, where eligible, for the purchase price.

Return Policy

Due to the nature of our items, we have adopted a "no-return" policy. Returns will ONLY be accepted if a gross misrepresentation has occurred. Please email us at sales@vintagehatbox.com to request a return. All return requests MUST be made within 24 hours of receiving the item(s). Any return requests for items damaged in transit will be referred to the insurer for resolution.

Reserving Items

We will reserve items for 7 days for repeat customers only or for items to be paid by check or money order. Please email requests@vintagehatbox.com with your request. Be sure to include the item number. If payment is not received within 7 days, the item reserve will be cancelled unless prior arrangements have been made.

Disclaimers

We strive to correctly identify the time period for each piece we list. However, we may not be able to correctly or absolutely identify a piece and will declare the time period as unknown or unavailable or we will make an educated guess and shall note such with a question mark (?). If anyone is aware of a gross misrepresentation, please bring it to our attention at requests@vintagehatbox.com.
